The case report titled “Ayurvedic management of moderate COVID-19 infection: A case report” published in Journal of Ayurveda Case Reports, on pages 46-50, Issue 2, Volume 3, 2020,[1] is being retracted because within a month of publication of the case report, it has attracted the attention of local media with false reports suggesting that the drug used in this case for treating COVID-19 is recommended by the authors' institute and Ministry of AYUSH. Factually, this drug is not recommended as a standard treatment for COVID-19 by the authors' institute nor the Ministry of AYUSH. Also, the treatment details in this case report are causing conflicts with the current standard of care. Thus, the journal editorial office has decided to retract the article.
This article has been retracted on request of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
